Agree celebrate where we’ve come from. However 1000 + dead and tens of thousands hospitalised every year in Australia indicates we still have a long way to go. If a factory or any other industry had similar employee and customer trauma stats would we not expect better and demand more regulation? The entry of these vehicles shows the playing field is evolving, everything points to these vehicles worsening road trauma for everyone if unregulated. Just look at the USA crash stats if you want to see the unsafety outcomes that their approach leads towards.

I’ve also seen videos of them overtopping guardrails. These vehicles only benefit sellers.

Spit on their door handle, Charles. Don’t need to wait around to see their reaction, imagining it is usually good enough for me.

I personally replaced my 23yo Rodeo with an Isuzu NPR (a real truck). The irony is that the Ram’s and Chev’s are not work vehicles and are just an excuse to belt around in a V8. The owners wouldn’t dare do anything to the vehicle that might scratch the Duco; except perhaps to drive like an idiot.

A lot of techo geek speak and at the end of the day most of them end up with non-compliant combinations, road worthy problems and possible insurance issues.

Not to mention the exhorbinate costs. I friend re cently purchased a top model of the Ford 150 which set him back almost $155,000!!

I went different route and purchased a proper truck for 1/2 the price which has approx. 50% more (legal) towing capacity
