Total rubbish. Trump is a threat to American democracy. His intentions are to undermine the system at all levels, including enfranchisement. Read a little bit wider, but preferably not mainstream American media. They’re doing just as lousy a job at exposing Trump’s threats as most other vested interest run media .
The interests of “ balance” do not apply when the outcome is so existential. Truth matters. Information matters. As I said, journalism is mot a sport. It’s vital to democracy. And journalists are letting American voters ( and the globe) down. Again. Just like 2016.

While the political and economic systems of western Government are broken and we live in a plutocracy, a hard anti-Israel position would cost her the election.

Of course the fate of American democracy is not at stake in this election. History shows that both sides of US politics are neoliberal, war-mongering, citizen-hating behemoths completely dedicated to maintaining US hegemony at all costs.

Yes, the main reason why Trump can’t stay on message, is that he generally doesn’t understand the messages. For instance, when talking about inflation, he does almost random things, like, holding up a couple of packs of Tic Tacs, claims nobody can buy bacon and pretends that there was never any inflation when he was president. None of which says economic genius.

A US friend tells me 30 million young and diverse voters have registered for first time, while Trump has not won anything since fluking 2016, and many of the same voters have passed on inc. victims of Trump’s COVID policies, impacted GOP voters mostly.

Composite or aggregated polls, like headline data, should be avoided a la social science 101, unless exactly the same methodology, population sampling, questions etc.

Democrats understand that RW corporate media is clearly running protection for Trump inc. lipstick on a pig; many voters are waking up to this routine misinformation by media playing ‘fair & balanced’ etc.
